Hello, thank you for visiting, I just love taking photos, especially the gliders, they are just fantastic. I will post up my day of flying last Saturday, more pics to come.. you have fab shot of the tuplips.. have great day :) MonikaROse
Hhhhmmmm.....you see? You simply post a picture of shadows, and people think you are being "simply beautiful" and "magnificent" ...a very funny, funny crashing sort of thing that you do! :)
Monika Rose - thank you. I have found that I love taking photos as well and that sharing them is the best part.
GT - thank you. . . The sun shines in our rear windows almost mercilessly. . . I like to put stuff on the windowsill just to see what happens. The tulips turned out pretty well.
Sylvia - thank you. The shade over the window captures the silhouette in such interesting ways. I am glad you linke it.
Ginger - Thank you. The tulips were in full bloom that day. . . they've since gone a bit downhill.
MR 2 - I saw the glider. Thanks again for telling me about it. I saw a few gliders in the berkshire mountains in Massachusetts (us of a) yesterday. They were amazing and I thought of your adventure!
Inky - thank you. Yes!! I think I did the hand shadows as recently as a couple weeks ago. I'll have to look through my photos. (I've only taken about 500 since then. . . you know how it goes.)
Carletta - thank you too! If I had it to do over I would have fussed with the shade a little longer. Sometimes I am a little impatient.
Susan M - I think the dynamic you sense is the tulips falling off the windowsill. You are very perceptive!
Charity - I still think my blogs are crashing. This one is standing on the wing of MonikaRose's glider. . . looking down and thinking. . . maybe I can jump and aim for the water. The other blog is old and spinning out of control on a rain-slicked highway. I am driving that one way too fast. It's ok. Don't you think that writing a blog is fun but is also a responsibility? I mean I really hate it when I post something that I think is kewl! and everyone yawns. It means I've messed up. And I hate messing up.
Harriet - thank you for setting up the site and hosting it. I think it's a great idea. I've been photographing shadows on the windowsill for months now and never knew there was such a great site to share them (and see other's work).
Jacqui - Thank you. I know what you mean. . . all day today I was looking around for shadows. . . didn't see one that was worth photographing. . . it's a neat challenge.
Rita - thank you. I am glad you liked it.
MMT - yesterday I was waiting for the sun to come out from behind a cloud in order to get what I thought was going to be a great shot of a shadow on a sundial. . . and I waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and you know what. The sun stayed behind the cloud. So I photographed the sundial anyway and am looking around for a site called sundial sunday or something at which to share it because without the brightness, the shadows stay at home.
2BD - Thank you. I did stop by. The photos were great. Thank you.
That is the chicken - Thank you. I have not visited your site yet but I really can't wait to do so, based on the name!
Sweet R. Thank you. A site for shadows was a neat idea. I am glad that you visited. (I love the pink house!)
Holly - I am glad you liked the photograph. The tulips of appeared previously on If the walls. . . If I remembered how to link to a site in comments, I would link to the posting called, 'the last of the tulips' and 'whatnot.' They are down near the bottom of this page I think. I think you just gave me another idea though. . . What does the shadow of a throwtograph look like? I am going to have to find out.

This is a super shadow shot! Thanks so much for joining in Shadow Shot Sunday :)
I do like this shot. Enjoy chasing shadows - it does become a different way of seeing.
Very nice.
Only the shadows
of tulips for me today—
enough of brightness!
Wonderful! Thanks for sharing.
Please stop by and say hello, and check out my shadow shot!
Wow! shadowy layers, soft greys and gentle whites. Beautiful.
What we all notice now that we never even gazed a moment before...cool shot!
Hmmm, "shadow shots." That sounds like a hard thing to do nicely, but you've done it! I bet this plant is beautiful as is, too... :o)
beautiful shot :-)
