inky - well, thank you. It's nice to have you visit and comment.
Rick - Thank you too. This might be my most important blog post ever. I was sort of sitting here staring at the screen writing nothing when the 'the battery is so drained in your mouse that your life could end now' message came on the screen. I opened the desk drawer and there was a package of fresh durcaells, which came from who knows where, and inspiration for the posting, which also came from who knows where. It might be all downhill from here. (I know it's been uphill to this point).
Jim - thannk you. I'm glad you like it. That's a great site that you've linked here. Williams' poem is excellent.
Charity - I agree but in the desk drawer, the ice cream would have melted and perhaps wrecked the batteries!
Suz - Thank you. I don't know why but I like when a comment provokes me to wrote more on a topic. I should probably use twitter but I can't imagine having the time.
Susan - Thanks. It's the little things, isn't it?
Holly - well. Yes. If Mrs read my blogs I'd write for her. . . but she doesn't, you guys do! I try to show my affection for Mrs ZKWW offline. Although over on THLoL the picture at the very. very bottom of the page is a CD cover that she designed. She thinks it's one of her poorer designs but I like it because, you know, it has some special pictures in it.
Susan - There are 7 computers in the house and 4 people and I don't seem to be able to get to use one. . . on a regular basis. When I get a minute to try to thank everyone for comments and the batteries are cooked. . . well. . . then it's a few more days before I get here to say thank you.
Justin D'blogger- thank you. There are probably 40 double A's in use in the house right now and it seems like at any give time 20% of them are close to expiring. If I were smart I would get the rechargeable ones.
Thanks everyone. glad you liked this little offering.
I'm sorry, but I think my previous comment sounded weird and I probably should have been more clear. I meant, "Maybe some sort of show of affection for Mrs. Zen-Kennedy for putting fresh replacements in the desk drawer."
I'm often guilty of a lack of clarity in my ramblings...argh.
Hi Holly - it's me again too. I should have been more intuitive about what you'd written. You were plenty clear. I can be very dense. feel free to ask mrs. zkww. Anyway if I had been smart enough to understand your comment I wouldn't have had the chance to say I show my affection offline (which I think is funny - even if I have to say so myself) and I would not have been able to point out her design work. . . and that there is a picture or 2 of some special people in that design.
I've loved all comments on these blogs. . . even that anonymous person that shows up once in awhile.

Thanks again.
This has got the same flavour as William Carlos Williams' poem 'This is Just to Say'. I like it.
An ice cream cone with three scoops of big, round ice creams in different flavors would be better. :)
i enjoyed the post, and liked it even better after reading the story behind it... :-)
That's about as good as it gets! :)
What could be better?
Maybe some sort of show of affection for Mrs. Zen-Kennedy?
:o)
I think the only thing better would be for the low batteries to have been fully charged.
Cool poem about something real, my wife's wireless mouse batteries died and we were completely out of double A's. -My bad
